let's try this again

This weekend is the 2nd C-cup out in Baie-St Paul. A bit of a mission to drive but nothing to crazy. I'm still waitin on a wheel set and rim to come in the mail so for the time being my rear wheel has a permanent wobble with one side of the spokes being super tight and the other fairly loose. My left shifter is a little finicky right now until a piece comes in, but it still somewhat works. This week has been a lower volume week after a couple tougher ones. Monday I slept in and headed out to the gym, did a good core workout and a much needed stretch in the sauna. Tuesday was the first Kelso race, I rode around for a couple hrs before the race and worked on some more handling skills. Applied them to the race and was cornering much faster and not sliding out on the slick sections. Overall the race went well, I seemed to feel a bit better on the climbs. Yesterday I was back at the gym for another core workout and then worked in the evening. Today I was going to do a shorter easy ride at Kelso but the trails are a little too wet for that. I'll hop on the road bike instead when I get off work. Friday Amanda and I are leaving early to miss the Toronto rush hour and were driving up to Baie-St Paul. Saturday is a pre ride and Sunday is the race. They're calling for rain up there so it looks like it may be wet and cool conditions on race day we'll find out. The wounds are healing up nicely, I'll be taking the stitches out Friday evening. The hand is feeling better and can hold the bars fine now, and some skin has grown bacl on my shin. So were good to go for the weekend!
