Is it still called road rash if it's not from the road?

I've been meaning to post earlier but I've had a busy week since I started full time work. I head out to Kelso a lot last week as well as some solid road rides. This year I plan on riding my mtb more as I need to pick up my technical skills. Kelso was in great condition on Thursday and it was a pretty solid ride. I'm liking the Rocket Rons more everytime I use them they definately make me trust the bike more in corners. Friday I was back at Kelso and it had rained a bit in the morning. The trails looked damp but not too wet so I started my ride. I guess I got a little to excited and started railing corners pretty hard because the next thing I knew I was lying on my side tangles in my bike and covered in leaves and mud. I was going down a slight downhill about 35-40km/h and was about to make a left hand turn that you can normally hit pretty hard. I guess some water had soaked it pretty good and the top cm of the corner was slick muck. My front wheel washed out and down I went. No injuries which was great, just covered in road rash, or trail rash I guess?

I headed out on the road bike on Sunday for a 110km ride with some z4 work. I made it out to Acton and did my intervals there since only about 2 cars passed me and There's no lights or stop signs. I felt a lot better during my efforts and was finally able to take full breaths and I had a clear nose for once. I headed out Monday for an easy spin then headed off to the gym. Yesterday I went to Kelso to do some more z4 intervals but my HOUR didn't want to respond too well to them. I got through them and decided to spin relatively easy for the rest of the ride.

I'll be headin to Woodnewton on Saturday for a pre ride and hopefully this Ocup will go a lot better theb the last. At least my cold is gone, now I'll have to wait and see if my fitness has dropped off at all. My sleep schedule has changed a lot since I'm up so early now for work, I'm still trying to adjust to it and should have that figured out by the end of the week. I'll be focusing on geeting to bed early for the rest of the week. At least I'm driving a tractor again this year, it's easy on the legs so I can't really complain.

I'll hopefully have a chance to post after the pre ride.
